Crystal and Adnan

Crystal and Adnan wanted to incorporate their love of the environment into their wedding. They decided on a wedding to be held cliff-side at Hosanna Resort in Toco, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.

Guests were seated in the open-air, where they witnessed the unity of love between Adnan and Crystal, through an intimate Islamic ceremony.

The bride’s custom-made gown was accented with a bouquet of heliconia torches, home-grown from the groom’s backyard. Bridesmaids’ bouquets were single, pink ginger lilies grown at the venue, in keeping with the organic theme.

Their eco-friendly theme was further incorporated into the centerpieces, which doubled as wedding favors. Guests received an assortment of periwinkle and petunia potted flower plants which they could take home and transplant as a memento of the day. Decor was kept minimalistic, to accentuate the venue’s focal points, such as the gazebo and coconut trees.

Crystal and Adnan went to great lengths to ensure their guests were treated to the ultimate guest experience. The scenic location lent itself to guests exploring the beauty of the space during cocktail hour.

Adnan serenaded his bride with a surprise rendition of an Indian film song ‘Tum Hi Ho,’ which translates to ‘Now I can’t live without you,’ which was followed by a flash mob of the groom’s cousins and a firework display to kick off the reception!

‘Our wedding day encompassed everything we had planned it to be (and so much more). Our experience on the day was surreal. It began with the ceremony in the morning, where we exchanged vows that we wrote ourselves – and they were tear jerkers! This part of the day was all about us and our union as man and wife – no frills. We immersed ourselves in the celebration, making enough time to mingle and essentially becoming guests at our own wedding. To wrap it up, we did our day our way and, as unconventional as it may have been (e.g. with our chocolate fudge wedding cake) it was the most memorable day of our lives yet,the happy couple told TrinidadWeddings.com
