TW Editor’s Makeup Finds
Nars’ Amour Blush – has a lovely, deep coral-pink colour. It’s very pigmented, so I use it sparingly and apply lightly with a fluffy brush. However, if you want a more intense look, it’s easy to build on it. I like that it gives a healthy flush to my face and that it’s long-wearing and matte (I tend not to like sparkles in my blush!)
Stila Stay all day 10-in-1 HD Illuminating Beauty Balm – I got this as a sample and although I believe it’s supposed to be used as a BB Cream, I use it as a highlighter. I find that it blends well over foundation and gives a healthy glow to my skin – so yes, it’s illuminating, as it says.
Too Faced Primed & Poreless – I’ve tried many primers, some weren’t effective and some clogged my pores, until I met this version from “Too Faced.” This primer is lightweight and blends easily into my skin (no oil slick effect here!) It’s also vegan-friendly, paraben-free and contains vitamins A & C.
L’oreal True Match Crayon-Concealer (in W 678) – I find this creamy concealer stick very easy to use. During the day time, I prefer to only wear primer and this concealer, so I can skip foundation. It has medium coverage, so if you want something with full coverage this may not work. A perfect crayon for travelling.
Jordana Eyeliner in Green Suede – A great alternative to brown eyeliner is this subtle olive-green colour. It’s a soft pencil and I love it for something unexpected in my day-time look.
Jordana Lipliner in Tawny – I love this affordable lip pencil so much that I have probably bought it at least 3 or 4 times! It’s great for giving lipsticks some definition or for wearing alone, with a little gloss.
