Bride University goes to South

Popular local wedding website Trinidad Weddings.com, hosted its second wedding planning workshop for brides, called “Bride University.”

This one-day workshop was held on November 3, 2018 at Tradewinds Hotel in San Fernando. The previous one was held on April 14, 2018 at Queen’s Hall, for brides in North Trinidad.

Bride University workshops are aimed at helping brides save time, money and stress during their initial stages of wedding planning. It gives brides personalized attention and practical advice for their particular planning challenges.  Topics include: wedding budgeting, finding vendors in your price range, how to negotiate with vendors, analyzing contracts for wedding services and how to avoid errors and pitfalls during the planning process.

Main Facilitator for the workshop was TrinidadWeddings.com’s Founder and Editor-in-Chief, Simone Sant-Ghuran, who has a fourteen year track record of being in the wedding and event industry. Simone has also been a feature speaker at international wedding industry events in NYC, Fort Lauderdale, Jamaica and Guyana. She is committed to using her long-standing, collaborative relationships with numerous wedding vendors, education and experience to help brides use their time and resources wisely.

Brides also benefited from presentations from other wedding industry experts, such as: photography and videography tips from Lopes and Lopes, advice on décor and rentals from Bouge Events, advice on using a wedding co-ordinator, presented by TCJ Events, make up tips from Certified Makeup Artist, Vashti Ram and a cake tasting and wedding cake advice by Shenniah Moore of Frosted. Other gold sponsors were Tradewinds Hotel, The Up Shop and Printreett

All brides received swag bags filled with product samples and gift vouchers from wedding industry providers and brands such as: Superb Caterers, Diverse Events Ltd, Jamor Concepts, King’s Specialty, Diosa Body Art and Design, The Dessert Lab, The Finer Details and Savon Art Scentsations. Brides also got a copy of the TW Wed-Zine Magazine (published by Trinidad Weddings.com).
